Advanced International Business Group (AIBG) traces its roots to 1977, when Dr. Harub Al Kharusi founded Harub Dental Surgery, Oman’s first private dental clinic. As the country’s first Omani private dental practitioner, he played a pioneering role in shaping the nation’s healthcare sector.
In 1994, he further contributed to Oman’s medical landscape as a co-promoter of the Sultanate’s first private hospital. Over the past four decades, his vision has grown into a diversified healthcare group offering multi-disciplinary clinics, corporate wellbeing consulting, and related services.
In 2014, AIBG Medical was established to supply world-class medical equipment and products across Oman. Today, it stands as a trusted leader in medical supplies, backed by a dedicated team committed to quality and excellence.
Milestones
Founded: Dr. Harub establishes the first private dental surgery in Oman (Walja, Muscat).
Harub Dental Surgery relocates to a new facility in Qurum.
Co-promotion of Al Shatti Hospital, Oman’s first private hospital, in Shatti Al Qurum.
Dr. Mohammed Al Kharusi joins the organization; Al Harub Medical Center established in Shatti Al Qurum.
Launch of AIBG Medical Equipment & Supplies Division.

Dr. Harub Al Kharusi is a pioneering figure in Oman’s healthcare sector and the first Omani graduate in dental surgery. In 1977, he established Harub Dental Surgery, the country’s first private dental practice, setting a strong foundation for modern dental care in Oman. He further contributed to the nation’s healthcare development in 1994 as a co-promoter of Al Shatti Hospital, the first private hospital in the Sultanate.
With over four decades of dedication and service, Dr. Harub has played a vital role in advancing accessible and high-quality healthcare for the people of Oman. As Chairman of the Board, he continues to provide strategic leadership, direction, and guidance to the organization. Beyond his professional commitments, he remains actively involved in various business, healthcare, and social initiatives, reflecting his ongoing commitment to the community and the nation’s progress.
Managing Director
Dr. Mohammed Al Kharusi serves as the Managing Director and is responsible for the day-to-day management of the AIBG Group, ensuring smooth operations and continued growth across all divisions. He holds an MBA from the University of Strathclyde in the UK and has a strong medical background, having earned his medical degrees from the University of Glasgow and the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons.
With a unique combination of clinical knowledge and business expertise, Dr. Mohammed Al Kharusi has played a key role in expanding the AIBG Group, successfully developing it to include the diverse allied divisions it comprises today.
